COORDINATOR, HOTEL LOGISTICS
Alexandra Goslett-Shield
The Coordinator of Hotel Logistics is responsible for assisting Rugby Canada staff and executives with tour and special event planning, meeting planning, and other hotel related issues, while also working to develop Rugby Canada’s relationships with key hotel chains.
Alexandra Goslett-Shield has been employed with Rugby Canada on a part-time basis for seven years. Alex is currently the Coordinator of Hotel Logistics. In this role, Alex assists Rugby Canada staff and executives with tour and special event planning, meeting planning, and other hotel related issues, while also working to develop Rugby Canada’s relationships with key hotel chains. During her seven years, Alex has also worked as an Office Administrator and Executive Assistant.
Alex graduated from Brock University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) degree in Child and Youth Studies and then went on to obtain a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Western Ontario in 2006. Alex is currently studying to become a qualified specialist in the field of Special Education through Queens University’s Additional Teacher Qualification program.
Alex is an avid snowboarder and has been a member of the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI) since 1994. She is a qualified CASI Level 2 Instructor and Level 1 Course Evaluator and works primarily out of Craigleith Ski Club in The Town of Blue Mountains.
When Alex is not teaching school, teaching snowboarding, or working for Rugby Canada, she can often be found volunteering, or being active in her community. Alex volunteers in a number of Special Education classrooms and school libraries in her neighborhood, and enjoys hiking and kickboxing.
Alex lives in Collingwood, Ontario with her husband.
