MASTER LEARNING FACILITATOR PATHWAY
Becoming a Rugby Canada Master Learning Facilitator
Rugby Canada is responsible for providing educational opportunities to coaches under the auspices of the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP). These educational opportunities are only made possible through qualified Learning Facilitators. These Learning Facilitators are responsible for the development of skilled, knowledgable coaches, and through those coaches, athletes/participants are safer, happier, and more successful.
What is a Master Learning Facilitator?
A Master Learning Facilitator is responsible for training and mentoring Learning Facilitators in delivering coach education at the Provincial level in the sport of Rugby.
Although a degree in Physical Education/Kinesiology/Sport Science or Coaching would be very desireable, a potential MLF candidate should be judged on a broader set of competencies. Master Learning Facilitator competencies should reflect a background that includes academic achievement related to sport and/or adult education, professional development experiences, advanced coaching credentials, and experience coaching rugby.
