NATIONAL PROGRAM PERFORMANCE ANALYST
Calum Ramsay
The Performance Analyst is responsible for managing Rugby Canada’s Performance Analysis program, delivery of performance analysis services for the National Senior Men’s and Women’s Sevens, National Senior Men’s 15’s, and Under 20 Men’s programs and monitoring the hardware and software associated with those programs.
The Performance Analyst will from time to time act as the team analyst, or will oversee the appointed persons, for the National Senior Men’s and Women’s Sevens and National Senior Men’s 15’s teams as well as providing administrative and analytical support services for all other Rugby Canada national programs.
The role includes all organizational and administrative matters associated with the performance analysis program. The organizational and administrative duties include, but are not limited to, the recruitment of volunteer staff, staff training and development, staff monitoring, equipment monitoring, the maintenance of databases and the documentation of reports.
Calum Ramsay is currently employed as the National Program Performance Analyst. Calum began working as a performance analyst with Rugby Canada in 2010 when he helped implement Sportscode analysis software in the National Senior Men's Team program. Since his initial involvement Calum has continued his work with the Senior Men, as well as Canada 'A' sides and the National Senior Men's Sevens Team. A highlight of Calum's work with Rugby Canada was his inclusion in the 2011 Rugby World Cup squad.
Calum completed a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Queen's University in 2010. He has a background in rugby, and played for London St. George's from 2003 - 2009 and for the Queen's Gaels from 2005 - 2009. Calum's previous work experience has ranged from computer aided design of prosthetics to automobile safety system analysis.
Calum is originally from London, Ontario but loves to travel and has called many places home.
