SFU Men's Hockey Player Development Program

SFU Men's Hockey Team values academic development and community engagement of our players. We are committed to providing the best possible academic support and opportunities for each of our players to learn and ultimately become role models and mentors for youth in the community.

Academically, this year we have partnered with Tutor Doctor Burnaby, our official Academic Sponsor of the development Program. They offer tutoring services to people all over lower mainland and consist of a large pool of professional tutors that are at least a University Graduate with past teaching experience. Tutor Doctor Burnaby has committed to working with our players individually throughout the season and is determined to help our players become exceptional student-athletes.

In the community, our players occasionally visit schools in the Burnaby School District to play floor hockey or read with the students. They also spend numerous hours on the ice every week with players from the Burnaby Minor Hockey Association to help with their on-ice development.
