Men’s team update!

After a long period of planning and putting things together we are happy to be able to announce some coming events for the USMNT.

With the World Floorball Championships 2024 just over and the World Floorball Championships 2026 looming it is time to take a look at what is coming up for the U.S. Men’s national team.

Coming up first are development camps at the Golden Gate Cup and the Texas Open. This will be followed up by the 3v3 World Floorball Championships in Switzerland in May!

You can find more information about the respective training camp below. Both will be focused on skills development and evaluation for future national team events. The camps are open to all players, men and women, thriving to be selected to one of our national teams. It is not aimed at newcomers to the game however. It is for players aged 14+ but if a younger player thinks they have the skills to participate please have the parents email adam@usfba.org before signing up to discuss.

UPDATED: The Golden Gate camp will be run by Stefan Hedlund from the men’s team with endless experience coaching in the top league in the world, the Swedish Super League and has among other things been chosen as coach of the year in the SSL. He has also been coach for the men’s team for many years. The Texas Open Camp will be run by new Assistant Coach Nick VanPatten.

We do not yet know if we will have one or two teams at the 3v3 that will take place in Winterthur in Switzerland the 2^nd-3^rd of May in connection to the MU19WFC.  Plans are being made but we will gather a day or two before and look forward to a great event!

There will be an initial open sign up of interest for the 3v3 WFC but showing interest does not guaranty final selection to the event and is not a promise to participate if selected.

Selection will be done from the end of January with the goal to have the team or teams set by the end of February. Selection will be based on previous events as well as scouting reports and the information submitted in the form.

In connection to the selection cost of the event will be sent out.

Planning continues as the WFCQ 2026 is not that far a head so keep an eye on our website for the latest updates.

We are excited to offer a USA National team development camp during the Golden Gate Cup and the Texas Open!

GOLDEN GATE CUP CAMP UPDATE HERE!

During the Golden Gate Cup, on Saturday January 25th and Sunday January the 26th both at 8:00-9:00 am and during the Texas Open on Friday March 14th at 5:30-7:00 pm we will be hosting development camps for everyone that wants to be part of one of our national teams!

These will be mini training camps for both men and women age 14+ who want to try to get a spot on one of the USA national teams in the future. If you are younger then this please have your parents email adam@usfba.org beforehand to discuss the possibility of participation.

As we head into new challenging events for our national teams we are always looking to help players develop as well as let new prospects prove their skills before future selections and this is the perfect opportunity for both.

The Golden Gate Cup camp will consist of a one hour on court session both days and then one theory session. The Texas Open camp will be one two hour on court session followed by theory. The sessions will be focused on individual skills development and player evaluation for future national team events.

Once you have registered email stefan.hedlund@live.se with your expectations and hopes for the camp so he knows what players are expecting/hoping for.

It will cost $50 to participate in each camp.
