The former A+ team now known as Lights Out,Sure enough lived up to their name with a impressive start to the year.The White Rhinos didn't see what was coming as the Lights out team right from the drop of the ball took it to them.The Lights Out team dressed 12 players including their goalie.All but four players had points in the season opener including Ean Stan who picked up a assist and made timely saves stopping 13 of 14 shots blasted his way.

Lights Out began the scoring 2 minutes and 54 seconds into the game when Geoff Mills set up Dave Thibault first of the season.After that it was all downhill for the Rhinos who never seemed to get their legs under them.With 10:38 left in the 1st Mike Fabro made it 2-0 with a rocket of a shot from just inside the blue line on a pass from Thibault.Then Thibault made it 3-0 with his 2nd of the night with 8:15 remaining in the 1st off a pass from Fabro.New comer Jared Anger made it 4-0 with 3:57 left of the 1st.and to round out the 1st period Thibault got the hat trick scoring his 3rd of the night with 7seconds left tapping in a rebound off a point shot from Fabro.

Up 5-0 to start the 2nd Lights Out continue to dominate the play but the Rhinos were still showing fight.They were buzzing around the net trying to get Stan off his game.There was a slight scrum infront of the net but no penalties occured.Shortly after Mike Tucker took a 3minute penalty for body checking.The Lights Out penalty killers wouldnt let the Rhinos get many chances.Cody Moyer scored his 1st of the season shorthanded on a partial break which saw him be tripped up and go five hole on the goalie as he was falling.It was definately a highlight goal.The Rhinos finally solved Stan and the Lights Out defense with 5:45 left in the game,breaking the shutout bid for Stan.Thibault then answered right back with 3:54 left taking a pass from Fabro and breaking in down the wing and being tripped up and scoring as he was falling top shelf for his 4th of the night.

Lights Out won 7-1 on a total team effort.All the players played extremely well.The stars of the game were 1st star:Dave Thibault 2nd star:Mike Fabro and 3rd star:Ean Stan.Mike Tucker,John Vansickle,John Said,Adam Lawton,Imran Ahmed,And newcomer Ben Hutton all had strong games for the newly retooled Lights Out team.Lights Out hopes to continue to play well and improve to 2-0 when they take on Wasted Talent in their next game.
