Norstar Ladies Win 2014 Winter Provincials

London holds both Provincial Winter Championship Titles with
consecutive victories (London TNT 2013, London Norstar 2014).

Norstar London now moves onto the National Finals in Montreal, Quebec July 24 – 27, 2014.

Norstar London beat The Chargers (also from London) 3 - 0 in an aggressive and closely matched game. After one period Norstar led 2 - 0 on goals by forwards Megan Howe (assisted by Katie Turner and Keelan McGoey) and Amanda Spriel (assisted by Katie Turner and Megan Howe) while their defence gave up only 3 shots. In the second period Maureen Mommersteeg scored (assisted by Carly Marino and Andrea Walters) giving Norstar a 3 – 0 lead and again the defence held tight only giving up 4 shots. Norstar Goalie Holly Scott recorded the shout out – her 3^rd over the weekend. Holly Scott stopped 54 of 57 shots posting a 0.75 GAA and a .947 Save Percentage.

London holds 5 titles for their respective division – Provincial Summer Championships 2011, 2012 North American Championship 2012, Provincial Winter Championships 2013, 2014. A first for Ladies Ball Hockey in Ontario.
