Nanaimo's 10 game winning streak is over after a 7-4 loss to West Kelowna on Saturday.

It's the second straight 7-4 loss to the Warriors, and the Clippers have but one tie against West Kelowna in the past three seasons.

The Clippers started well getting a highlight reel goal from Sheldon Rempal when he put the puck on his blade and scooped the puck in from the side of the net.

Tanner Campbell tied it for the Warriors and then Nanaimo went ahead on tallies by Chris Dodero and Rempal again on a power play.

Matt Hoover also had a penalty shot in the first period but failed to score.

Once the second period started it was all West Kelowna. Rylan Yaremko scored on a power play deflection, and Reed Gunville tallied on a blast from the right side to send the game tied into the third.

The Warriors added three more to open the third period with Kylar Hope, Yaremko, and then Liam Blackburn on the man advantage making it 6-3.

Zach Court scored a power play goal to cut the lead to two, and then Jonathan Desbiens wrapped up the scoring with an empty netter.

The shots finished 34-34 with Keelan Williams getting the win over Jakob Walter.

Both teams went 2/5 on the power play.

The Clippers will look to get back in the win column Wednesday with an Island Division showdown against Cowichan Valley at Frank Crane Arena.
