Foley whips out miniature wiener in clubhouse!
- Submitted by
York diamonds ace Eric Foley shocked fellow players after the team's last home game when he proudly displayed his small wiener in the clubhouse.

"It was really quite astonishing." said Diamonds outfielder Brent Sterling. Everyone was getting dressed and enjoying a fine brew as usual when I looked over and saw Eric clutching his tiny wiener. I spit out a mouthful of beer I was so shocked. I can't believe I wasted a mouthful of beer! Dammit!"

"That's the smallest wiener I've ever seen" exclaimed Diamonds knuckleballer John Raddi. "It was so cute I just couldn't resist the urge to pet it."

Foley's brother Steve, recently back from his honeymoon, wasted no time proclaiming that having a small wiener was not necessarily common amongst the Foley family in general.

"I asked him if he had a name for such a thing" said Diamonds outfielder Greg Shannon "because if he's like me he'll definitely have a name for it." Foley just smiled and replied "Not really but I can assure you he's definitely man's best friend!" Shannon, surprised by the answer, commented to reporters afterwards, "Who am I to judge? If he's happy and he truly believes that size doesn't matter then good for him."

When asked why he had such a small wiener Foley replied, "My girlfriend and I decided we could use some companionship in our new home in the desolate town of Bolton. I mean, the people in this town are just now discovering black and white TV! It's just so boring and we figured having a pet wiener to play with would enlighten our lives. She said size doesn’t matter!"

Apparently he was right. People around town have reported seeing Foley gallivanting down local streets with his wiener. "I've never seen him so happy" said local resident Jim Duggan who has known Foley for 3 days. "It's great to see a new resident so happy. Maybe now he'll be in a good enough mood to help me fix my pickup truck. Then I can take him and his small wiener for a ride back to the bush"

Foley had no response to Duggan's proposal. He also would not confirm whether the miniature daschund would make an appearance at the Diamonds next home game on Thursday vs. the Knights.
