U12 LIONS ROAR THROUGH FIRST DAY!

Kelowna(CMC) The U12 Burnaby Lions Provincial Championship contending team blew away the opposition in brutal weather in Kelowna today. Faced with driving wind, pouring rain and unseasonably cold temperatures, the U12 Lions steamrolled over all four of todays opponents by a dominating total score of 121 points to 6.

Said Burnaby Spring Flag Director Carmello Renzullo " I was really worried about whether or not the boys could play well in this weather. Our team did more than rise to the occasion slamming down all comers. The boys, their teammates and all of Burnaby should be very proud of them. "

Coach Tony Belmonte summed up the day saying " the boys played very well! Now we have the quarter finals tomorrow".
