Carleton Opens with Win Over Host Crandall

Carleton used solid pitching from starter Charlie Crabb who went the distance spreading out eight hits but had seven strike-outs to lead his team to victory.  Crabb also did it with the bat with a hit and a run scored.  Ben Milinkovich  and Kelly Newcomb each had a pair of hits for Carleton along with an RBI each for the Northern Conference Champion. 

Crandall's Adem Campbell got a pair of hits for the host adding an RBI in the loss while Mark Lobban  also had a pair of hits.  Chris Leger  took the loss on the mound for the Chargers pitching six innings but surrendered nine Carleton hits while striking out four batters.
