ROCKETS, CLOVERLEAFS ON COURSE
For the second straight game, the Brandon Cloverleafs blew out the Brandon Marlins and now they are just one win away from advancing to the MSBL final.

Veteran Dean McBride had three singles, three runs scored, and two RBI as the Leafs won easily 14-0 to assume a 2-games-to-none lead in the best of five.  Five players had two RBI each, while Kevin McNeill also scored three runs.

Kyle Nixon allowed just five hits in eight innings of work, while the offense bruised and battered Paul Thompson, Brian Krahler, Jeff Wiebe, and Mitch Stephens.

Game three is on Sunday.

Reston scored five in the top of the eighth and stunned Neepawa 6-4 to take a 2-games-to-none lead in their best of five.

Buddy Mayert got the win, despite allowing two hits and a walk in his only inning of work.

Tyler Henderson had a two run single and Andrew Lochhead set the table at the top of the order by going 3-for-4 with two doubles.

Cam Tibbett drove in two for the Farmers, who are one loss away from being eliminated.

Josh Loewen took the loss.  He went 7 2/3, allowing six runs and nine hits.  He walked four and struck out two.
