Spring Club Tournament Rules

I would like to welcome you to the Malaspina Men’s Basketball Annual Senior Boys Challenge.  This event with a guarantee of 4 games minimum per team (24 teams max.), and will be on a first come, first serve basis.  The event will take place at Malaspina University gymnasium on May 30/31st.  The cost for the tournament with be $200 per team, and must be paid prior to your first game.  The cost will cover referees, scorekeeping, and tshirts for the tournament champions.  Any team that pulls out of the tournament with out giving at least 2 weeks notice will not be allowed in the tournament in future years.

TOURNAMENT RULES:

1        Warmup will consist of a minimum of 4 minutes.  Halftime will be 2 minutes.

2        The game will consist of 2 halves of 25 minutes each.

3        The time is running.  Time will only stop in the last minute of the second half if the game is within 8 points. 

4        Players will be allowed a total of 6 personal fouls.  Technical fouls will not be tolerated, and the player may be thrown from the game, and possibly the tournament. 

5        Teams will shoot 1 shot for 2 points for any shooting foul.  Bonus will be in affect after the 8^th team foul of each half.  Bonus will also consist of 1 shot for 2 points.
