2025 AIHL Finals Series to be televised live on ESPN

The 2025 AIHL Finals Series will be shown live on ESPN Australia for the first time.

ESPN Australia will air both semi-finals live on Saturday 30th August at 2pm and 6pm AEST, followed by the Goodall Cup Final live on Sunday 31st August, at 2pm AEST.

Fans can watch the Semi-Finals and Goodall Cup Final live on ESPN, Foxtel Go, Fetch TV, Kayo Sports and Disney+, as well as Sky Sport for viewers in New Zealand.

AIHL TV will still carry all 5 games of the finals weekend live, including both preliminary finals live and exclusive on Friday August 29th at 3pm and 7pm AEST. 

"This is something we've been working on in the background for a while and we're excited to announce that the Finals Series will be shown on ESPN for the first time," AIHL Media Manager Stephen White said.

"We will be able to showcase our great game and league to a new audience of fans across Australia, New Zealand and Oceania on the world's premier sports network."

“The AIHL is elated that ESPN will continue its excellent coverage of hockey with the broadcast announcement of the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) Semi-Finals and Grand Final," AIHL Executive Director Bob Turner said. 

"The AIHL has built its own broadcast capability of all regular season games and finals through AIHL.TV and the extended coverage through ESPN will take the AIHL to a much broader audience. ESPN is synonymous with hockey through their coverage of the NHL and Stanley Cup and Australian viewers will now witness the much-vaulted quality of the Australian national league, as six teams chase the ultimate prize in Australian hockey, the Goodall Cup”.

AIHL TV subscribers that have already purchased full season, mid-season and finals packages will still be able to watch all 5 games of the 2025 AIHL Finals Series live and replayed on-demand 24/7.
