Monelo Dominates Colt 45s

Mike Monelos 16 strikeouts helped Fontanetti's to their 11th victory of the season.  Monelo allowed two earned runs, 7 hits and 2 walks over 8 1/3 innings. 
John Nelson knocked in 3 runs, sparking a 7-3 victory.  He singled in the 1st, 5th and 9th innings.
Fontanetti's didn't relinquish the lead after scoring 3 runs in the 1st inning when they scored on 2 singles.  One run in the bottom of the 7th helped Redding close it's deficit to 4-1.  An error sparked the Colt 45 rally. 
Fontanetti's tacked on another 3 runs in the 9th.  A strikeout scored Grady Sanchez to get on the board in the inning.  That was followed up by John Nelson's single, scoring Eduardo Sanchez and Reed Kienle. 
Mike Menelo's 16 strike out's was a Tiger Field and Fontanetti record.
