I'm am writing to you at this time to communicate with our members the present and future status of Brampton Inline Hockey Inc. We are a not for profit organization and an affiliated Minor Sports group with the City of Brampton. With every organization there are volunteer board members that make an executive committee, which enables the group to exist and operate. Brampton Inline is no different; our organization has an executive committee that consists of approx. 6-8 members at any given time.
Over the last 10 years the organization has been extremely fortunate to have had in place many individuals who have dedicated themselves to the leagues operation ensuring success and enjoyment for all members. With that said the time has come where the league finds itself at a challenging stage as many of the integral executives who have kept the league going have stepped down leaving with it the future of Brampton Inline in the balance.
We are reaching out to our membership to convey the leagues present situation and the urgency to have a new group of volunteer members in place in order to have a 2013 season. What does this mean? We require a handful of members to step up and volunteer their time in order for Brampton Inline to continue offering this great sport to the community it serves.
Are you interested? Do you have what it takes? Undoubtedly there is a level of commitment required which typically spans from February to August every year. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who love the sport and that are passionate about keeping this sport alive in Brampton for years to come.
With our season scheduled to start in May and our registration beginning in February, it is imperative for the league to have an executive board in place within the coming weeks.
