Rick Bourne

Part owner of the Langara Fishing adventures group, Rick Bourne splits his time between the Queen Charlotte Islands in Northern British Columbia, and his Richmond, BC head office. A keen traveler, Bourne rarely misses a Canadian test match, and has provided meaningful financial support to various rugby organizations through donations of exclusive fishing adventures at his lodge. Rick has been Chairman since 2007.

Graham Brown

A former CEO of the Ontario Minor Hockey Association, Graham Brown has been at the helm of Rugby Canada since 2002. Starting with just three staff in their Richmond Hill, Ontario, he has grown the organization to over a dozen paid staff in Ontario and British Columbia. Graham is a long time member of the Aurora Barbarians Rugby Club.

Jay Johnston

Jay Johnston has been Treasurer for Rugby Canada from 2001 to present. Mr. Johnston served previously on the Board of Twin ELms Rugby Park 1996-2001. He was also a member of the Eastern Ontario Referee Society 1991-1996 and member of the Ottawa Senators 1995-2002. Ottawa Indian Rugy Club 1974-1995. MacDonald College (McGill) varsity rugby 1972-1974. Jay also serves as Vice Chairman of Arnprior District Hospital. He is married to wife Lynn and has one son, Robin.

In the business related history, the real story is the success achieved as companies. For example, we  took Okanagan from a Western Canadian company to a National and International operation. Alpine was a $15 million company when we bought it and a $100 million company when it was sold.

Morris Biddle

Morris Biddle has been a long time member of the Canadian insurance industry. With an extensive rugby career both as a player and administrator, Morris has offered up his insurance experience to assist Rugby Canada in the important role as a member of the insurance committee. As managing director of Marsh Canada, Morris has lived in the Vancouver area for 28 years. He is a long time associate of the Meraloma rugby club and long time associate of the Kats and the Legends rugby clubs.

Keith Gillam

Businessman Keith Gillam is considered by his contemporaries in Canada and around the world to be a construction industry leader, pioneer and entrepreneur extraordinaire. From a small Southern Ontario construction firm, he successfully built Vanbots Construction Group, an international organisation of construction companies headquartered in Canada. In his role as Chairman and CEO of respect and recognition of his peers along the way. A renaissance man of many interests, Keith has generously volunteered his time and expertise, influence and ingenuity to his industry and community.

Member of the University Council at Queen's University as well as a member of the Fields and Stadium committee and executive committee for the Queen's Rugby Booster Club. He is also a member of the Courtesy Car Committee for the Calgary Stampede.

David Robertson

David Robertson is the headmaster of the distinguished Shawnigan Lake School. A former Scottish School boys player, Robertson has enjoyed a long career in Education, and is key in helping with various Rugby Canada programs holding training camps at the idyllic Vancouver Island campus.

Mark Slay

A long time member of the Capilanos Rugby Club, Mark Slay is a Vancouver area lawyer. A musician, he still plays drums with a local group for special events. Mark has been key to many procedural issues and points of protocol during his time on the board.

Stephanie White

A former Captain of Canada's first women's team in 1987, Stephanie White is part of Shell Canada's West coast marketing region. A keen proponent of the women's game Stephanie brings a lot of passion to all aspects of her role with the Rugby Canada board.

Chris Lefevre

Chris LeFevre has a number of real estate interests around Vancouver Island. A long time rugby player, LeFevre has been a member of the International Rugby Board as Canada's representative since 2003.

Jim Douglas

 A former player on the men's national team, Jim Douglas is now an orthapaedic surgeon in Vancouver. A rerpesentative for the men's team as the Player's representative, Jim has been instrumental in introducing a number of initiatives to improve the manner in which players represent Canada.

Troy Myers

Troy Myers is a long time rugby player and volunteer for the Nova Scotia Rugby Union. In his professional life he is a library technologist. He brings a long tradition of playing and administrating the sport of rugby and is a valuable first year addition to the Rugby Canada Board.

A multi-year member of the Rugby Ontario board, Gord Sneddon brings a wealth of professional experience to the board through his role as Police Inspector for the Toronto Police Service.

Dawn MacDonald Dauphinee

MacDonald is a former member of Canada’s national women’s rugby team and a three-time AUAA rugby all-star. In fact, she was the first woman to represent Nova Scotia in international rugby competition – and as such, was the first woman from Nova Scotia to be “capped” for Canada.

Rugby Canada Board Member - Larry Jones - who is a provincial director, comes to the job with thirty years of business and rugby experience behind him. A former President of the Calgary Canucks Rugby Club and former Director of the Calgary Rugby Union, Jones brings extensive knowledge and negotiating skills working in the volatile and pressurized petroleum industry.
