The South Australian Ice Hockey Association (SAIHA), currently trading as Ice Hockey South Australia (IHSA) is the governing body of ice hockey in South Australia. SAIHA is the South Australian state branch for Ice Hockey in Australia and is a Member Association (MA) of Ice Hockey Australia.
SAIHA is responsible for organising state leagues and selecting participants for the state team to compete in the national tournaments.
We operate out of the Ice Arena in Thebarton. Teams are fielded in the various leagues as follows:
Winter Club Leagueoffers competitive hockey for adults 16yrs+ in the following levels:
Premier League – the top senior checking league
Senior A – the top senior non-checking league
Senior B – the second-tier senior non-checking league
Senior C – the third-tier senior non-checking league
Teams in the Winter Club League are fielded by the following clubs:
Division A (1) – recreational fourth-tier senior non-checking league
Division B (2) – development fifth-tier senior non-checking league

Adelaide Women’s League (AWL), offers recreational and development hockey for females 15yrs+. This non-checking league is currently one level with the following teams:

Junior Winter Leagueoffers recreational and development hockey for juniors in three co-ed age-based levels:
Competition (games and training)
16U (Bantams) - open to players 16 and under
13U (PeeWee) - open to players 13 and under
9U (Novice) - open to players 9 and under
Entry “Come & Try” and early development / learn to play.
Ice Blast - open to new players 15 and under
Other Leagues - We also cater to the semi-retired players in the OIHAN ("Old Timers”) structure:
