VanRec Softball tournament participants:

The tournament is cancelled due to poor field conditions. 

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU INCLUDE REAL FIRST NAMES, LAST NAMES & EMAIL ADDRESSES ON YOUR ROSTERS. The rosters will be sent to our Insurer on June 21.  Please note that rosters were due on May 1, 2025.  The rosters are used for insurance coverage verification purposes and the insurance company may delay or deny coverage for injuries if the information on your roster is not accurate!

Related Info: VanRec's insurance covers 20 participants per team. Please try to keep your total number to 20 or fewer names. If you've exceeded 22 names, please contact the League by email and advise us. There is a $13 fee payable by your team to the League for every person over 22 that is on your roster this season (was $6 in 2024). This over-limit fee is what the Insurer charges VanRec Softball.

 

The rosters will be partially re-opened in time for the Year-End Playoffs to allow you to add a few players for the playoffs if you need to. You are limited to adding 5 more players and there can be no more than 3 of either sex within those 5.

THESE ARE THE GAME BALLS THAT YOU WILL BRING TO USE - WITH
YOUR FIELD EQUIPMENT - WHEN YOU ARE THE HOME TEAM.

Also for pick-up:
4-PITCH TEAMS CAN PICK UP THEIR DEAD-BALL ZONE CONES - if 
you don't already have some from a previous season.

MAT-BALL TEAMS CAN PICK UP THEIR STRIKE-MAT (aka "Home plate
  extension mat") - if you don't have one already.

WE HAVE SOME BASE EQUIPMENT FOR SALE
- please check to confirm that your bases are in good shape. 
The League recommends two spikes per base.  The League does not
make money on the sale of equipment.  We offer this equipment 
at below market cost to encourage teams to have safe bases and
to have teams provide a safe and consistent infield set-up for each
game.    Bad equipment = bad injuries.

Full set of bases, $125: safety first base, 2 regular bases, 6 spikes.
Heavy duty home plate, $15.
Spikes, $5 each: Chicago style (strongly recommended style).
Individual base prices: double safe base - $60; reg. base - $35 ea.

to set up your field during the 7 games that you will be the "Home" team -

When submitting an email to the League, please remember to always include in your initial email, two very important things:

1. The name of your team,  and                     
2. The division you play in or are referring to.

League participants:
Questions to the League should first be directed through one of your two Team Reps,  as they may have the answer you need.
We cannot handle the volume of emails from 1200+ players. 
 
Team Reps:
We'd love to be able to remember all of you off the top-of-our-heads, but we are a league of 90+ teams, some of whom have the same team name, and we can't always place you when you inquire.  Again, when contacting the League, please remember to include: your name, team name, division.  This helps speed up our response time.

Team Reps and new players: make sure you keep your contact information (emails / phone numbers) up-to-date so you don't miss out on important league notices.

Please update your rosters as soon as possible, as well as the Team Contacts information - which is updated in the Non-Player Personnel section of your Administrator account. For instructions click the link on the left that's called 'Update Contact Info' .
