EOI for IHSA State Teams Coaching and Management Staff

IHSA is calling for expressions of interest from coaches and team managers who are interested in coaching and managing our South Australian State Teams for 2026. This year the national championships [https://www.iha.org.au/competitions/national] will require Staff for: 

1. U13 Ginsberg, 
2. U15 DeFris, 
3. U18 Tange  (M)
4. Boxall 15+ (W) 
5. AJIHL U20 (M) - not expected to run, we will call for volunteers if we hear otherwise.
6. Browns 18+ (M) - not expected to run, we will call for volunteers if we hear otherwise.

Nationals locations and dates are still to be confirmed with Ice Hockey Australia. - last 3 years have seen them in the School Holidays so expect to be travelling around  July 4 – to July 19, 2026.

What are we looking for in our Coaches and Managers:

1. Strong leadership and communication skills
2. Knowledge and understanding of Ice Hockey.
3. Ability to motivate and inspire players.
4. Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
5. Adaptability and flexibility in changing situations
6. Strong organizational and planning skills (within the Coaching/Manager team)
7. Ability to identify and develop player talent.
8. Strong discipline and ability to hold players accountable.
9. Good interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with players and staff.
10. Strong work ethic and dedication to the team’s success.
11. This form will close on the 5th January 2026, with the intention of appointing coaches/managers in place by the end of January 2026 so they can also be part of regular season planning as well as Trainings planning.
