Flyers Round Out Draft With Placek, Mathers

Congratulations to Junior Bobcat, Petr Placek on being drafted in the NHL by the Philadelphia Flyers! Petr became the first Junior Bobcat member to be drafted in the NHL!!

Petr Placek, 6'4 Right wing from Slany, CZE was drafted to the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2011 NHL Draft in the 6th Round / 176th overall.

Petr Placek had this to say with his experience in the Junior Bobcats program, "The Bobcats program was great for me. I've known Peter Alden from the previous year, so coming into the Bobcats program, I knew that the team would be good. The team was great actually. I had some terrific line-mates and teammates. They were great hockey players that I could learn from. The Bobcats had set up many games for us against very good teams so the entire team, including me, got some great looks from scouts and coaches. The Bobcats team was also great thanks to the coaching staff that we had. Todd Hall is definitely a guy to listen to, as he is a great hockey player himself. He gave me some very good tips on how to get better and how to take my play to the next level."
