The IPGA Tour made their sixth stop of the season at the beautiful Summerland Golf & Country Club. The small but stellar field of professionals were treated to perfect course conditions and another gorgeous okanagan day. Although the field was small, most of the top players on the Tour participated including host professionals Tye Babkirk and Canada Cup Champion Greg Machtaler. The course was set up tough, but proved to be no match for the tournament favorite Greg Machtaler, who fired a stellar score of 6 under 66 to lap the field. Clay Stothers of the Okanagan Golf Club also played a strong round shooting 69, with Dean Claggett the only other player under par. Greg continues his sizzling summer after victories at the BC Assistant's Championship, the Canada Cup, and the BC Championships, among a couple victories on the IPGA Tour.
