Shady Side Academy Names a New Head Coach

Director of Hockey Len Semplice has named Jonathan Johnson as the new Boys' Prep Head Coach. Jonathan comes to Shady Side Academy after serving nine years as a Special Education Teacher and Head Boys Varsity Coach at Rocky River High School in the Cleveland Ohio area.

 Johnathan also serves as a Evaluator and coach for USA Hockey Mid American district.

Jonathan served two years as a Graduate Assistant Coach for Mercyhurst College were he received his Bachelor of Arts in Education and his Masters of Science in Special Education and was a All-American, team Captian and Leading Scorer. Before attending Mercyhurst Jon spent some time at Colorado College. Jonathan also played Professional Minor League Hockey with the Erie Panthers ECHL and the West Palm Beach Barracudas SPHL.

We wish him luck as he begins his new challenge at the Prep level.
