We are always on the look out for spares. This is a recreational volleyball
league for women 21 years and older. Some experience is rquired. our
season runs from September to April and games are played on Saturdays
from 9 to noon.

Welcome Back!
Our 2018 - 2019 season will soon be starting and all the registrations
have been sent out to our regular players and spares. Season is starting
on September 08, so get those registration forms in as quickly as possible
so we know who is coming back and who we have to replace! |

Season Update |
|
Well our 2017/2018 season has come to a close. Our banquet was well
attended and we had a blast as always.
We wish to congratulate team Lise along with Chantal, Gail, Halina, Karen
and Lisa Marie for taking both the season trophy as well as the playoff
trophy. Well done as the Season Champs and the Playoff Champs!!
We wish all players and spares a great summer and see you in
September! |

AGM Coming Up |
|
Hello ladies, The end of the season is fast approaching and our AGM is
just around the corner.......March 24, 2018. Didn't like something this
year, want to see something different, now is your chance to make
that happen. Information on when motions are due will be coming out
shortly and remember, you have to be at the AGM to be able to
explain your motion and the reasoning behind it.
This is also the time to step up and join the KLVL Executive
Committee. All positions are always open and we welcome
nominations......sometimes new blood is just what we need, especially
if you live in Kirkland. If you are interested, come and see anyone on
the Executive and we will fill you in.
Have a great balance of the season and hope to see everyone at the
AGM!! |

Christmas Lunch Invite |
|
To all KLVL players
Our annual Christmas lunch tradition continues Dec 16th at Mon
Village, 1:00pm. If you plan to attend please email Diane Thomson at
d.thomson05@hotmail.com by latest date Thursday Dec 11th as she
will need to finalize the reservations.
Every one - regulars and our fabulous spares - are most welcome to
attend. Its a great way to start the December holiday celebrations -
in good cheer!
There is also a 15-20$ optional gift exchange at the restaurant & don't
forget your Christmas HAT...
We hope to see you there!
Saturday December 16th is also our last day of play before the
holidays so we encourage all players to dress up with a little Christmas
flair!
Lastly, a reminder that our first day of play after the holidays will be
January 6th.

Season Update |
|
Hiya all!
Well the season is well under way and I think everyone
is having fun with some really great, close games. Everyone has
come out with a winning attitude! Hopefully all the teams have
been able to play as a full team by now and have started jelling.
Thank you to all our spares who have come out to help us out.
Keep coming out, we need you and we appreciate you! We
are always looking for additional spares, so if you know anyone who
might be interested, tell them to give us a shout and we will try to get
them out.
Lets continue having fun and remember ladies.....this is
a recreational league where everyone comes out to play and have fun.
The beauty of our league is that we are a mix of strong and not
so strong players therefore our strong players need to help our not so
strong players get stronger and better. This is done by encouraging
them, giving them constructive criticism and showing them by
example that we are a fun, fair yet competitive recreational
league!! Remember you were in their shoes once too. The season still
has a long way to go so lets continue playing hard but lets
make playing FUN for all!! |

About our league ... |
|
We're a recreational volleyball league for women 21 years and older ... and some of us, MUCH older!
We play in the town of Kirkland (a suburb of Montreal), on Saturday mornings between 9am and noon. Our season runs from September thru April.
The league is made up of 36 full-time players of varying levels of ability, who are drafted into 6 teams of 6 players. Whenever a full-time player cannot play on a given Saturday, a spare of equivalent rating is called out to replace her for that day. The daily sparing fee is 7$, and each player plays 9 games during the 3-hour period.
The roster of full-time players has already been filled for the 2013-14 season, but if you are interested in becoming a spare, please click on the Contact Us tab on the left of the screen. All levels of play are welcome but some experience is required.
