A lot has happened since 1969 when a group of Aldergrove Juvenile coaches sat in a shack in Langley nursing their beer and bruises after being defeated by the Langley coaches in the Annual New Years Day game.

This defeat led to some ads in the local papers and in the summer of '69 the "training camp" began. Thus in September 1969 The Aldergrove Don's were born and joined the Fraser Valley Senior Soccer League. We played in red jerseys and white shorts and the Navy Base Field was our home. Everyone wanted to play exhibition games at that time since we had access to the enlisted men's lounge on a Sunday afternoon (prior to community pubs) we were an instant social success.

Our first soccer success was in 1973, when the Don's beat White Rock to win the division two play-off trophy, the McPherson Trophy. Many other trophies, cups and awards followed as can be seen in the honors column of the letter head. The high light was probably in 1988 when Aldergrove did something very few teams accomplish; they wore the "TRIPLE CROWN." They were premiere league champions, won the Bradner Cup and the Packenham Cup all in the same season. Another highlight was the success in the B.C. Summer Games; Gold in 1984 and Silver in 1985.

Our success is in part due to the great juvenile organiztion in Aldergrove. The juvenile executive and the senior executive cooperate well. Senior players offer coaching clinics and referee junior games. It is because we grow "from within" that our club is so strong. We encourage all ages to join and stay with us for a life time of fitness. In fact two players that played for the Don's in 1969 are still playing on our over fifties team.

The over fifties team has organized an Annual Old Timers Tournament under the direction of Reid MacDonald, this tournament has promoted soccer well for the two years since its inception.

To further the soccer as well as the well being of its members and the community the following awards or events have been initiated by the club.
