Twelve USA Hockey Adult National Champions were crowned during the month of April and all scores were updated live on www.usahockey.com/adult. Ed Lee and Brian Lawton, former NHL players participated in the 40 & Over Adult Men’s National Championships this weekend for La Palestra NYC. Lee is playing on the played for Princeton University, then for the Quebec Nordiques during the 1984-85 season and several AHL and IHL teams prior to finishing his professional career in 1989. Brian Lawton, Executive Vice President and GM for the Tampa Bay Lightning played for many NHL teams including the Sharks, Bruins, Nordiques, Rangers, Whalers and North Stars. Lawton spent 14 years as a player agent, representing prominent NHLers such as Mike Modano, Mark Parrish and the Lightning’s Jeff Halpern. La Palestra NYC lost in the championship game 6-5 to the Chicago Sharks. 08-09 TOP 25 USA HOCKEY REGISTERED ADULT LEAGUES Thanks and Congratulations to all adult members of USA Hockey and to recognize the Top 25 registered adult leagues in the country we have published the top 25 adult leagues in the country. Congratulations and welcome to all current and new adult programs and players to the 575 adult league family throughout the country. Adult registration has topped last seasons 117,219 and there is a tie for the adult member that registered as # 117,220. To commemorate this monumental achievement we will provide Jason Koskinen and Thomas Utley with commemorative USA Hockey Jerseys. Congratulations to both of you for being # 117,220.
