The Swiftsure Team travelled to Saltspring this weekend to take on the Salties in a double header. Shayne Eddy went to the mound for Swiftsure against the Salties Ace Blane Johnson.  After a shakey start from Eddy and a couple defensive miscues from the Swiftsure team they came out with  a 4-3 win. The strong pitching from Eddy was key but he also contributed with the Stick Belting Swiftsures first Home Run.

   In The Second Game newly signed Roy Carver blanked the Salties in the second game in a very strong pitching performance.  The second game also the Swiftsure bats came alive as they cruised to a 9-0 victory inproving there record to 3-0 early into the new season. 

   The Swiftsures next game will be Friday against a very strong Smithson Team which should be a very hard fought game.
