USA fell in the second game of the World Floorball Championships in Finland 3-9 as Thailand proved stronger in the end despite an early Team USA lead.
David Hansen was able to score off a pass by Eric Dieckelman after just over three minutes. All seemed good and team USA was creating solid pressure and chances. But Thailand turned it around before the first was over, both scoring an equalizer and then taking the lead after 10:20 of the first.
In the second the play continued to go back and forth with both teams having chances but Thailand being the sharper shooters this game. Despite a called off penalty shot the score after two was 1-4.
After Thailand found the net once again in the third William Eriksson was able to score his first of two, the second coming with a second left on the clock and sealing the final score at 3-9. Game stats from the game can be found here.
Tomorrow Team USA has a day off at the World Floorball Championships before facing Poland on Monday at 2:30 p.m. EET, you can watch the game live on the IFF YouTube channel and on beIN SPORTS.
