We are excited to announce the selected players for the Y16 Youth National Team going to Storvretacupen in Uppsala Sweden January 2-4 2022.

“We are stoked to be back with the first Y16 international event since Covid started”, says Y16 General Manager and Coach Daniel Williamsson. “We were very successful at Gothia Cup 2020 and our goal is to exceed expectations again with this very talented team.”

The team consists of players that have been scouted through several tournaments such as Youth Nationals and Adult Nationals. They will play in the “07″ division, with the majority of players being born 2007. On the Storvretacupen website you can read that this is the “World’s Largest Floorball Tournament”. The level of competition the team will face in Sweden is greater than anywhere else and its an invaluable opportunity for our USA Floorball youth to get international experience to help them grow in their game.

“I am super excited to travel to Sweden with our Y16 team. We have amazing young talent, and with this opportunity, their skills will continue to improve” says Equipment Manager Rich Wilson.

The adventure starts with Y16 Winter Camp in Vallentuna/Taby just south of Uppsala, December 31 2021 – January 2 2022. Here the team will get a chance to know each other and gel as a team. The camp is sponsored by Floorball4all.
