CALGARY - The Canadian Rugby Championship (CRC) U16 men & women’s and the U18 men & women’s tournaments reached the final day of round robin play on Thursday.
With only one game scheduled in the U18 men’s competition, Equipe Quebec managed a comfortable 34 – 19 win over the Keltics, after Guillaume Chazal, Alexandre Lafleur, Lodrik Parlavecchio and Tristan Villiers all scored tries.
In the U18 women competition, with a nine try performance from eight different scorers, the Blues’ offense proved too much for Quebec to handle as they cruised to a 55-15 win. In the other game, Justine Blatt-Janmaat and Chloe Cleroux two tries apiece led the Keltics to a 48 – 12 win over the Blizzard.
In U16 women play, the Bears were heading into their final round robin game having not lost and that trend only continued when they met the Ketlics. The Keltics could only manage one try against the Bears, who went on win the game 41 – 5.
In U16 men’s play, there were no scheduled matches yesterday as the teams got ready to compete in the elimination rounds today.
