Sylvan Lake Wranglers win big in final game before the holidays

The Sylvan Lake Wranglers earned a big victory in Heritage Junior B Hockey League action over the Airdrie Thunder as they head into the holiday break.

It was a slow start for the Wranglers, with just one goal in the first period, but they cruised from there in a 7-2 victory.

“We were a little shaky at the start but then everybody started to get their legs under them and then we started playing well and it shows on the scoreboard,” said defenceman Tyler Arnold, who scored once and was named player of the game.

“In the offensive zone, our forwards played really well down low, support was always there and in our defensive zone we had it locked down,” he added.
