This weekend, a split of two games has the Airdrie Techmation Thunder heading into the final weekend of the regular season in the Heritage Junior Hockey League in second place in the North Division.
The Okotoks Carstar Bisons, the team atop the league's South Division, have only lost three of 36 games in 2022 - 2023. On Friday, the Thunder learned why. The Bisons put together a complete game, outshooting the Thunder 77 - 26 and scoring three goals in each period on their way to a 9 - 1 decision over Airdrie. Reed Chalmers was the only Thunder shooter to beat Okotoks' goalie in the decisive victory.
