They weren't one of the pre-tourney favourites but they swept through the eleven team Provincial "C" Championship tourney undefeated.

The Islanders defeated Victoria Upper Deck in their first game before upsetting the Surrey Thunderbirds in game two. On Sunday morning they knocked off the unbeaten Hawks and finally dumped Quesnel Kal Tire in the final game - making the "if" game unnecessary.
