2025 MBL Champions

After a long and drawn out season we have our 2025 MBL Champions. In a hard fought game at Gravenhurst High School, Clear Lake Brewing Company won 69-59 against the Huntsville Hurricanes. We would like to thank all the players, officials, scorekeepers and team sponsors for their support of this great community tradition. Everyone deserves credit for pushing through multiple cancellations and a winter like we've never experienced before. Enjoy the off-season and we are looking forward to next year! The Season is set to start

Hello everyone, we are all set to begin the season on Monday October 21st. The schedule and team rosters can be found at this link to the website.

Team Captains will have the Jerseys to hand out on Monday. I would ask everyone to respect the school board rules and ensure not to arrive to games before 6:00pm and to be sure to exit the school by 10:00pm. This will keep us in good standing with the school board and prevent additional rental charges.

If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to me here. We are hoping for another fun, fair and competitive season. Just a reminder that we all have jobs/careers/daily life, that are more important than a basketball game, so please play safe and be respectful to each other. As well please show our scorekeepers and officials the utmost respect and kindness as they are very important for our league to continue to operate. I would ask that only team captains approach the officials with concerns during game play, this is the most effective way to communicate without it seeming like a complaint. Please keep in mind that rosters and schedules could change and I will send out emails to the league if anything changes.

Hello, tonight is the final night of pick-up in Huntsville at 6:30pm before we break for Thanksgiving. If you haven't paid your $235 player fee please send an etransfer to this email address or bring cash tonight. To be placed on a team your fees have to be paid or at least set up a payment plan with me. We only have a couple spots remaining so please send ASAP.

Family Place Restaurant and Pizza are the 2023/24 MBL Champions

In front of a packed gym at Gravenhurst High School, full of family, friends, fans and players, Family Place Restaurant and Pizza held on in a nail biting double overtime game to beat Clear Lake Brewing Company 54-51.Congratulations to Family Place Restaurant and Pizza you are the 2023/24 Muskoka Basketball League Champions!
The Boone plumbing ballers secured 3rd place by beating Fike Masonry in the consolation game. We would like to thank all the players, officials, scorekeepers, sponsors and fans for another fantastic season. Pick-up games will be played at Huntsville High School for the remainder of the school year from 8:00 to 10:00 pm. Its free for everyone, so grab your shorts, shoes and a light and dark coloured shirt and join us for some fun on the court. Any players who didn't return their Jerseys tonight please bring them with you to pick-up.

Second Round of the Playoffs

The Semi Finals of the Muskoka Basketball League were played in Huntsville this Monday with Family Place Restaurant and Pizza defeating Fike Masonry 65-55 and Clear Lake Brewing Company outlasting the Boone Plumbing Ballers 61-58. The Consolation games played in Gravenhurst had the Huntsville Hurricanes beating the Raptors 705 Unity Group Financial 64-57 and the Bracebridge Medical Centre Thunder crushing the Rosseau Lake College Timberwolves 90-66.

Next Monday there are no games during the March break. The Finals will be on Monday March the 18th at Gravenhurst High School. Family Place will play Clear Lake for the Championship and Boone Plumbing will play Fike Masonry for 3rd place. In Huntsville, Bracebridge Medical will play the Huntsville Hurricanes for 5th place and the Raptors 705 will play Rosseau Lake College for 7th place.

Come out and cheer on the teams in the last games of the 2023/24 season!

First Round of the Playoffs

The first round of the playoffs are in the books, with the top four seeds all advancing. In Gravenhurst, the #2 seed Boone Plumbing Ballers outgunned the #7 seed Huntsville Hurricanes 69-59 and the #4 seed Fike Masonry edged the #5 seed Rosseau Lake College Timberwolves 42-38. In Huntsville the #1 seed Family Place Restaurant and Pizza dominated the #8 seed Bracebridge Medical Centre Thunder 82-58 and the #3 seed Clear Lake Brewing Company outpaced the #5 seed Raptors 705 Unity Group Financial 63-52. Sign-up/Pick-up is starting

Hey, it's that time of year again...basketball season is starting! This year we will be hosting 4 weeks of free sign-up/pick-up nights at the Hunstville High school gym from 6:30 to 9:30 starting Monday September the 11th through to Monday October the 2nd. If you or anyone you know are interested please join us and bring non marking indoor shoes and a light and dark shirt/jersey. To keep up with the rising costs of gym rentals and officiating the fees this year will be $250.00 per player to join the league, which needs to be paid before the season kicks off on October 16th. We are looking for Captains of teams again so we can attempt a Draft night and try to keep teams balanced. If you are interested in being a Captain please let us know via replying to this email address or in person. We have a few people asking about putting complete teams in and will consider all options to keep participation levels high. Again please email any requests to this email address or speak with us in person. One other note is, due to youth team sports bookings of the gyms our game times have been pushed back to 8:10pm and 9:10pm starts. Hope you all had a great summer and look forward to seeing you on the court.

2023 Champions

In front of fans, friends, and family in the Huntsville High School gym, a close and hard fought battle occurred. Clear Lake Brewing Company withstood the efforts of Fike Masonry to win the Muskoka Basketball League's 2023 Championship 48 to 46. It is back to back Championships for the Clear Lake Brewing Company. We would like to thank all the players, officials, scorekeepers, and sponsors for working together to make this season a success. There will be pick-up basketball on Mondays from 7:00 to 9:30 until the end of May at the Huntsville High School.

Nipissing University Lakers Mens and Womens Basketball teams are beginning their first season in the CIS this year. This Wednesday, September 24 both teams are playing an exhibition game against Georgian College at Bracebridge Muskoka Lakes Secondary School. NEW Season Schedule & Team Rosters Ready!!

The Muskoka Men's Basketball League 2013-2014 season schedule and team rosters are ready!!

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we're unable to play games at Huntsville High School for the next 2 weeks. The gym is still under construction. So for the first 2 weeks the games will be played at Gravenhurst High School. Game times will be 6:40, 7:50 and 9:00. We only have the gym until 10:00 so please be prompt and ready to play on time!

Once we have access to Huntsville High School, the regular schedule will be 2 games in Huntsville, first game at 7:15 and second game at 8:30 and one game in Gravenhurst at 7:15 every Monday evening.

Please bring a light and dark coloured jersey (preferably numbered) the first few weeks until we can get team jerseys assigned. If you have any team jerseys from previous seasons bring them along with you.

Payment is due before you play! If you have not already paid your season fee you must see me before your game.
