In the 1st, All Business took a big lead early, going up by 21 as they looked to avenge the shocking loss in last years finals. In the 2nd, All Business kept their first quarter intensity and doubled their lead to 41, forcing Sonic Boom into contested jumpers and missed shots. In the 3rd, Sonic Boom desperately jacked up shots but kept hitting bricks, the lead eventually touching 50 as All Business never let up. In the 4th, the game was over, but All Business never stopped moving the ball and working through their rotations, coasting to the win.
Honourable Mention goes to Mike for his offensive domination.
12:20 pm Sky Patrol 96 vs. Spartans 65
In the 1st, Sky Patrol took a narrow lead, going ahead by 1 as they exchanged baskets with the Spartans and narrowly came out on top. In the 2nd, the Spartans took the lead, ahead 4 at the break, scoring off the excellent ball movement they generated. In the 3rd, Sky Patrol roared ahead, taking the lead by getting hot from behind the arc, while the Spartans tried to slow down the pace. In the 4th, Sky Patrol scored consistently and rode their defense hard to the end.
Honourable Mention goes to Jordan for making crucial baskets in the 3rd, to get the team back in the lead.
1:30 pm Goodfellas 57 vs. Vancouver Haphazards 75
In the 1st, the Vancouver Haphazards took a 2 point lead, scoring in the paint after a dry spell to start the game, while the Goodfellas struggled to start as well, but they fought through and used their shooting to stay close. In the 2nd, the Haphazards upped their lead to 18 points, continuing their assault in the post and by getting to the stripe, as the Goodfellas had no answers and were often forced to foul, or just frustrated. In the 3rd, the Goodfellas started to flag, as they only had one sub, but the Haphazards couldn’t take full advantage of them in transition and the lead stayed the same. In the 4th, the game was already decided and both sides knew it, but the Goodfellas kept fighting all the same.
Honourable Mention goes to Mike for his domination in the post, especially in the 2nd, to blow the game open.

3:50 pm United 45 vs. South Slope 76
In the 1st, United grabbed an 11 point lead, taking advantage of some South Slope lapses on D, allowing them free reign into the post to take the lead late. In the 2nd, South Slope took a 6 point lead, despite missing a lot of shots, as United’s D gave them plenty of opportunities and second chances. In the 3rd, South Slope still wasn’t making their first looks, but they were still in control of the glass, and they kept converting off their offensive boards. In the 4th, United was fouling too often and South Slope took advantage of the free chances to help ice the game.
Honourable Mention goes to M. Morrison for his consistent rebounding.
5:00 pm Bad Omens 58 vs. Warriors 86
In the 1st, the Warriors grabbed the lead, already up by double-digits after one thanks to some hot shooting. In the 2nd, the Warriors deeper bench had a big impact, allowing the Warriors to push the pace, and they took advantage in transition. In the 3rd, the Warriors kept piling on, assisting on almost all their makes as they ran circles around the tired Bad Omens. In the 4th, the Warriors cooled down slightly but their cushion was big enough that their W was never in jeopardy.
