It will be the Thrilla in Manila, The Rumble in the Jungle and a Steel Cage match all wrapped in the final game of the 2013 Fall Season, as the top-seeded Tidewater Tides take on the #3 Thunder on Thursday at 8:30 at KBG Arena, I mean field. Rumors that REPD is forming a Mounted Police Unit to maintain control over the game have not been confirmed at press time.

The playoffs got underway last Sunday night as the #4 Mud Hens topped the #5 Drillers by a tally of 8-3. The second quarterfinal would've been stopped early if it was a fight as the #3 Thunder trounced the #6 Pirates 17-2. In the first semi-final on Monday night, the Thunder continued their winning ways as they beat the 2-time defending champion Crawdads 8-5 in a mild upset. Last night, In the final preliminary leading up to Thursday's main event, the Tides held off a furious 7th inning rally by the Mud Hens and escaped with an 8-6 triumph, as Rob "Monica Seles" Gebhardt squeezed the final out with the tying runs on base. Hitting stars for the Tides included John "The Secret Weapon" Evancho, who had 2 hits, Mike "BMX" Pescatore, who plated the first Tides run via a solo HR, and Shawn "Golf Cart Casualty" Blutarski, er, Kucharski, whose 2 run "single" highlighted a 5 run 3rd inning for the Tides. The Hens were paced by the 2 hits delivered by Amador "El Asesino" Rodriguez and a booming 2 run triple off the bat of Teddy "Mr. Tetley" DeGroat. The Tides escaped several jams thanks to 3 double plays, two of which featured Jason "Rule 9.1.3" Danahy making the pivot.

All players and fans (both of them) are invited to the Knights of Columbus for post-championship festivities.
