The Mighty Roos have announced their final line-up to contest the 2024 IIHF Division 2A World Championships in Belgrade, Serbia beginning this weekend.
The team is currently in Slovakia in for it’s final training camp, before beginning their campaign on Sunday evening (Monday morning AEST) against the host nation.
Australia will play Serbia, Croatia, Israel, Iceland and the UAE at the Pionir Ice Hall in Belgrade from Sunday 21st April to Saturday 27th April.
The Roos have also made some final changes to the team that last skated against New Zealand last month at the Trans-Tasman Series.
The Sydney Ice Dogs’ Jake Doornbos will step in between the pipes alongside Aleksi Toivonen to replace an injured Anthony Kimlin. Captain Bert Malloy has also had to unfortunately withdraw from the tournament, while Bayley Kubara, Alex Wardlaw and Brian Funes have been added to the final line-up.
