" " League Kick-off Classic and Playoff Tournament should alternate Division in the same year. One division hosts Kick-off Classic and the other Division host the Playoff Tournament. Then it changes the following year. " " All Stars: Each Division will have an All Star team of (3) Forwards (2) Defense (1) Goalie. All coaches must submit before February 19 th. Who they fill from their own team is a quality candidate to get voted to the team. The coaches will vote at the Playoff meeting for the six players in their Division who they feel should make the team. If you do not follow this procedure we will not be able to update the web site and individual stats. " " There will be NO overtime in league play. " " If you get a game disqualification, you must serve it in the next league game. If your next game is a NCAA non league game, you must sit out that game and your next league game. " " Playing Rules: NCAA " " **The home team is responsible to film all league games. The reason for this is that if there is a complaint filed by a school about a players conduct or attempt to injure another player, we have a tape of the incident and the other schools not involved can form a committee to look over the game tape and complaint and make a decision if discipline is warrant. You do not have to provide other teams with your tapes. " " Schedule Format " " The MPHL will be divided into two four team divisions. You must play the teams in own division twice, alternate home sites each year, or if both schools are a short distance apart you may play one home and one away, if both teams agree. You will play the teams in the other division one game each, and that will take place at the Kickoff Classic, for a total of ten league games. " " Playoff Format " " Quarter Final round will be division crossover. (1) Northeast vs. (4) West, (2) Northeast vs. (3) West. The winner’s bracket Semi Finals teams will be seeded 1-4 regardless of division. The Championship will be the two winners from the Semi Finals. " " There will be a consolation bracket for the losing teams, so each team will be guaranteed three games. " " Tie breakers " " Division standings and Playoff seeding will be determined by the number of points earned during the regular season 10 league games. Two (2) points will be awarded for a win and one (1) point for a tie in regular season play. " " The following formula will be followed by the teams tied until one rule determines the position of the tied teams. " " A. Total Points B. Head to Head C. Most Wins D. Goal Differential " " Playoff Games Overtime Format " " The following is the overtime format for all games to the Championship: Overtime play will be 4 on 4 sudden death until a winner. After regulation time there will be a 5 minute sudden death period. If no winner the Ice will be resurfaced and 10 minute sudden death periods will be played. This format will continue until a winner. Ice will be resurfaced after every two 10 min periods. |
