September 10, 2010 MOST RECENT TENTATIVE SCHEDULE for FALL IS UP:
The FALL 2010 Season's TENTATIVE Schedule is posted! The
finalized schedule will be confirmed shortly. As for now, the
schedule posted is what we will follow until further notice.
FYI: Since we all want to get the season done a couple weeks
before Christmas, you will notice that we play Sat/Sun back to
back for the first 3 weeks of September. We also have two
evening games schedule. One in October and one in November.
We do not have games on the weekend of Oct 24th due to the
gym being used for a school function. *We also have a game
on Oct 10th which is on a long weekend. Please put aside a
couple hours on that day for your scheduled game.
There are 16 regular season games scheduled. This guarantees
every team a chance to play each other once and we will follow
the same format as the Winter/Spring season for the Playoffs
where the Top 8 teams make the KINGS CHAMPIONSHIPS and
the next 6 teams make the PRINCE'S CHAMPIONSHIPS.
Your team Captain has been updated with the content of this
message and if you have any further questions contact your
captain for clarification.

As most of you know Tyler Kepkay who plays with the
"Scrapers" in our league, is going to in the starting lineup at
the Canada vs. China game at Rogers Arena today. Tickes

straight games from Dec. 5 through Dec. 15 ... finished second
on the team in steals (29) and third in assists (68) ... squad's

After Utah
After a great collegiate career with the Utah Utes, Kepkay
played this season in Germany for the ETB Wohnbau Baskets
Essen. In 26 games, Kepkay averaged 21.5ppg, 4.7rpg, 4.2apg,
and 1spg. With his 21.5ppg, Kepkay led the German Pro A
League in Scoring.

March 13, 2010 PLAYOFF SCHEDULE IS FINALIZED AND UPDATED!
The Playoff Schedule is FINALIZED and posted on the website. Check it out
and familiarize yourself with these dates. Also notice that we will have a
skills competition on the final day of playoffs (Saturday, May 29th). This is
a free event which is open to the league players and to the public. There
will be food and drinks along with prizes to be won. Please come out and
participate.

February 2, 2010 Tuesdays / Thursdays Drop-in B-Ball Wait List...
There is registered drop-in Basketball at our gym on Tuesdays and
Thursdays from 7 to 9pm. However, I am accepting drop-ins to take spots
when registered players are not able to make it. Space is limited so if you
wish to drop-in you can email me at info@kingsbasketballleague.com on the
day of (Tuesday or Thursday) at NOON and I will take your names in order
and place them on this website (www.kingsbasketballleague.com) so you
know who you are. A notification will automatically appear with "KG DROP-
IN LIST" on this website. Please Note that this process does not guarantee
you a spot but I'm hoping that you may be able to get in if the registered
players don't show by 7:15pm.

Wow! For our fundraiser today, we raised around $300 to "Help Heal Haiti"
I'm very impressed with all of you for putting aside your financial situations
and gave generously to help raise money for this
very worthy cause. You guys are a great bunch. Thanks to all of you who
donated your money... You should be proud of yourselves.
I decided that I'm going to let the school randomly pick the winners for the
raffle. So tomorrow the school will receive the money and will notify me of

January 10, 2010 UPDATED SCHEDULE is up...
UPDATED SCHEDULE is up - Please check out the updated schedule and
notice that we are playing only one weekend in February, as per the vote at
the Captains meeting. To accommodate the games we cancelled in
February, we added a few Satruday/Sunday games in April and May. This is
our schedule for now. If we make any minor changes in the near future, we
will notify your captain and also post a notice here on the web for your

October 18, 2009 Team ALL BUSINESS and WOLVES win tickets...
There was a random draw this morning for two teams to win two tickets
each for the Pheonix Suns vs Portland Trailblazers game held on October
22nd. Dave J from Ol' School confirmed that there were 15 teams in the
draw and picked All Business to win two tickets. A spectator on the
bleachers picked team Wolves to receive the other two tickets.

August 16, 2009 BLOCKMEN win the Summer Season 2009
KINGS has a new Champion for the Summer season - Blockmen!
Congratulations to all the members of the team on well played games
through out the regular season and playoffs. They managed to almost stay
undefeated through out the season with a 7-1 record. Multiple players on the
team were also awarded with plaques for their outstanding efforts through
out the regular season. Congratulations again... way to go!

December 25, 2008 WINTER/SPRING SEASON 2009 IS FULL
We have 17 teams comming in for the WINTER/SPRING Season. Schedule
will be posted shortly. We have made a few adjustments to the league by
substituting a few weaker teams from the Fall Season and replacing them
with new teams that look promising to give us the competitive games we
are all looking forward to playing, in the Winter Season. Keep checking back
for any new information that will be posted here in the near future.
July 15, 2008 FALL SEASON REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Registration for FALL season will commence starting JULY 15TH – The Fall season is tentatively scheduled to start on September 14th and ends a week before Christmas. Games will be played mostly on SUNDAYS. The league fees will stay consistent with pervious seasons. $1500 per team + $100 Performance Bond which is fully refundable at the end of the season, if you are in good standing with the league’s R&R. You will be guaranteed between 16 – 19 games for the season. Teams WILL need Uniforms (Jersey with number and matching shorts). Cost for a set of 10 uniforms is $380. {This price is a portion of what the uniforms actually cost. The rest of the cost will be subsidized by the league as a perk – It’s the best deal as it will cost each player $38 per set (jersey with number and matching shorts) assuming that you have 10 players on your team, and the uniforms can be used for future seasons.
I am accepting deposits for the Fall Season as of NOW! A minimum of $400 will be required as a deposit to reserve a spot for your team. The rest of the league fees will be due on August 1ST.

March 13, 2008 Interested in a Summer League?...
The gym is available this summer on SATURDAYS and a few Sundays....i'm curious to know how many teams are interested in playing in a Summer League. There will be 3 weeks of Saturday-Sunday back to back games to avoid playing during the long weekends and the rest of the games will be held on Saturdays. Just a friendly reminder to all the player in the league to keep in mind that now that the Community Centre next door to where we play our games, is back in session you will be expected to park your vehicles in the VSB parking lot which is located at the end of the drive way off Denman Street. Bare in mind that it is a privilidge to park in the VSB parking lot and not a right so kindly abide by the simple rule of ONLY parking your car in the VSB lot and not by the community centre. June 28, 2007 Fall Season is Just around the corner!
We will be starting up the Fall season in late August, and will run until the beginning of December. Thanks for all the comments and suggestions, we hope we'll be exceeding your expectations this year! We will have BCOA referees doing all of our games, each team will receive 12 uniforms (reversible jersey & shorts) and each player will receive a duffel bag. Teams have a chance at numerous prizes, awards and a $1000 prize for being the KINGS CHAMPIONS! Beacuse of the demand we would have loved to expand more, however, our gym availability limits us to only 16 teams. Get you team registered ASAP! All current Spring/Summer KINGS BASKETBALL LEAGUE teams will be given priority registration up until JULY 7th. Then it will be first pay, is the first to play. Registration fees are $1800 + performance bond. email for details!

May 26th @ 7pm we will be holding a meeting for all captains and any team member who wishes to attend. We would like to have at least one member of each team in attendance. The meeting will be held in the Gym and will start promptly after the last game is finished. We would like to go over any issues you have, and we would like more feedback as we are currently planning for the fall season.

April 27, 2007 Must have numbers to play...
This week will be the last week we allow players to play with non-numbered jerseys/uniforms. If players do not have a numbered jersey in the correct colors (white=home & dark=away) starting Week 8, May 5, the player will not be allowed to play. There are many quick and inexpensive ways to do this. This was our initial goal, since it makes the ref and scorekeepers' jobs much easier. Thanks in advance! Good luck this weekend!

Thanks for waiting guys! We have had some troubles getting our site up and running, so we have found a home here at esportsdesk for now. It's a big jump from myspace!
