2023 Season |
|
The schedule for the 2023 Season has been posted. Rosters will be updated once they’re finalized. The season is scheduled to start on June 2nd and conclude with the Championship game on August 25th. The regular season is 10 weeks long with each team having 2 off weeks and with August 4th as a makeup date in case there are any rainouts. |

2022 Season |
|
The 2022 Season will start on June 10th as the defending champion Edge play the Revolution in the opener, followed by the Widows vs. Pink Panthers. The new Oradell squad, Aces of Bases, will make their league debut a week later. Schedules and rosters are posted. |

2021 Season Opens Tonight |
|
Assuming Mother Nature cooperates, the 2021 Season will get underway
tonight, with the Edge playing the Pink Panthers in the opener at 6:30,
followed by a rematch of the 2020 Championship Game, as the defending
champion Widows square off against the Revolution. |

2020 Season Opens This Week |

The abbreviated 2020 Softball Season gets underway this Friday as the Black
Widows will face the Revolution in the 6:30 opener, while the 8:00 nightcap
will feature the Pink Panthers against The Edge, who will be looking to once
again defend their title. Full rosters and schedules are posted on the website. |

The 2019 Season will start on June 14th as the defending champion Edge
squad takes on the Revolution at 6:30. The nightcap at 8:00 will feature

The 2018 Softball Season will get underway on Friday, June 15th at KBG
Field on the shores of the mighty Hacky. The first game at 6:30 features
the Edge against the Black Widows, while the 8:00 nightcap will have the
defending champions Pink Panthers taking on the Revolution. |

The Edge begins their title defense this Friday at 6:30 PM against the
Pink Panthers.

Last week of Regular Season |
|
With the last week of the regular season approaching, the only question
remaining for the playoffs is the determination of the 3rd seed. The Red
Flames have clinched 1st by virtue of their 2 wins over the Edge, who have
2nd place wrapped up. The Edge will play the winner of the Pink
Panthers/Black Widows game in the semi-finals next week while the Red
Flames will square off against the loser of that contest. |

Draft Completed - Schedules & Rosters are Posted |

Now that the annual draft has been completed, the 2013 Season is set to get underway on Friday, June 14th at KBG. There will be an open practice there on June 7th for anyone who would like to attend. There are links on the left to see the Schedules and Rosters ("Teams") for all 4 squads. |

If you missed in-person registration you can still sign-up by mailing or dropping off the form at Town Hall. Forms can be found on the River Edge town website (www.riveredgenj.org) as well as on the main page of this site (there's a link on the lower left). The deadline for registration is May 20th with the first game scheduled for June 7th. |

Playoff Schedule Set - Championship Moved to 7 PM |
|
After two close games to end the regular season the playoff match-ups are
set. This Friday the top seeded Red Hawks will host the the 4th seeded Pink
Panthers at 6:45 and the #2 Widows will face the #3 Edge at 8:15. The
winners will meet in the Championship Game on Friday, August 31st at 7
PM. A post-game end of season party will be held immediately afterward at
KBG. |

One More Week of Regular Season |

For the 3 people reading this here are the playoff scenarios: If the Red Hawks win or the Widows lose the Hawks will be the top seed for the playoffs and have first choice for game time in the semi-finals on Aug. 24th. The Widows would also need to win a coin flip if they won and the Red Hawks lose, so it seems they are destined for the #2 slot.
There is also a "battle" for 3rd place between the Edge and the MIA Pink Panthers - if they remain tied after next week (which would happen if both won or both lost), then the Edge would get 3rd place based on the head-to-head tiebreaker. |

Opening Day is now set for June 22nd at KBG with the first game at 6:45 (Widows at Edge) and the nightcap at 8:15 (Panthers at Hawks). Click on the "Teams" link to see the rosters and the "Schedules" link to see that information - if you click "Printable Version" you can see the whole season's schedule for a particular team or the entire league.
