Esso Cup preparations continue for Notre Dame Hounds representing the Western Region and the Prince Albert Northern Bears as the host team. This years national championship was moved by Hockey Canada to Okotoks, Alberta where it will be delivered along with the Telus Cup.

Joining the Bears and Hounds at the Esso Cup will be Pacific Region Fraser Valley Rush, Ontario Region Durham West, Quebec Region Remparts du Richelieu and the Atlantic champs Northern Selects.
