Ghostriders Next Game- Saturday December 1st vs Kimberley


The Fernie Ghostriders return to the Fernie Memorial Arena Saturday December 1st to play the Kimberley Dynamiters.

The Riders have been playing and practicing in Sparwood since November first so starting Saturday they can get back into their game day routine and dressing room.

Saturday's Game

The Riders did not play Friday but off the ice they were busy and made two player moves.

Head Coach and General Manager Jeff Wagner traded Chase Fioretti to the Nanaimo Buccaneers of the VIJHL (Vancouver Island) then acquired the rights to forward Gavin Lawrie from the Ocean Side Generals of the VIJHL.

Lawrie (19yrs) is from Whitehorse YT and  played in Summerland last year where he had 9 goals and 10 assists in 37 games and as a 17 year old. Gavin played with the North Okanagan Knights as a 17 year old the year before.

Brendan Nemes was named as the Boston Pizza Player of the Month of November and David Lenzin was named as the Tim Horton’s Player of the Week.

 

Kimberley played in Creston Friday where they won their twelfth game in a row by an 8-3 score. Keegan McDowell had 3G 2A in that game.

This will be the second time these two teams have played, the Riders lost 3-1 in Kimberley on October 20th.

Game Time tonight is 7:30. Get in early we are expecting a big crowd.
