Millar Takes Both Matches at Home Against Great Plains
- Submitted by
Last night the Great Plains Sundogs took the short trip to Pambrun to take on the Millar Edge. The matches were important ones for both teams to try and keep the standings bunched together.

The Edge women started the night off with a huge win over the Sundogs in what turned out to be a tight match. Millar won the first set 25-20 and then dropped the next 25-21. Millar regained that lead in the third, 25-19, and never looked back taking the fourth as well, 25-23. This puts Millar into third place in the standings, two points ahead of Great Plains.

Great Plains was looking to take over sole posession of first in the men's standings with a win over Millar. The match started out the way Great Plains wanted, taking the first set 26-24. Millar then stormed back and won the next two sets 25-15 and 25-21. The Sundogs were not about to give up and took the fourth set 25-17 setting up a fifth and final set. The Edge narrowly won the fifth set 15-12, taking the match 3-2. This puts Millar into a tie for third place, and leaves Great Plains tied for first place.

Teams will be in action next weekend in Moose Jaw for another North-South battle.
