Thunder defenceman Jordan Abt has committed to playing for the NAIT Ooks for the upcoming season.

Abt, a rugged three-year AJHL veteran from Leduc, amassed 2 goals, 5 assists and 91 penalty minutes in 27 games for the Thunder last season.

Head coach Fran Gow congratulated the 20-year-old Abt on his post secondary aspirations and looked back on his tenure with the Thunder, "Jordan's impact on our team from the time of his arrival was very noticeable - his ability to play against the opposition's top lines was key for us. The Drayton Valley Thunder wish Jordan all the best as he starts his collegiate career with NAIT."
