The trade season has officially kicked off with the shocking announcement that Max Koenekoop had been dealt for the wily veteran Patty Harroch. Wings brass are looking for more veteran presence with what looks like their upcoming first round matchup with the first place Wild. This move will likely spark an "arms race" throughout the league and has Wild Owner/Pres/GM/Coach Justin McManus more than a little concerned. The pressure is growing and it looks like the Wild, with the highest salary in the league are going to have to look down, way down their roster for possible ways to make a deal happen.There have been grumblings for weeks that the Wild are looking to ship Alex Balazinski out of town, literally. Justin McManus has been caught numerous times negotiating a secret deal that would literally ship his underachieving power forward Alex Balazinski back to his motherland, Polska. The only problem that remains is Balazinski's size. Because of the current economic climate paired with the ever rising price of Oil, Balazinski would be considered "Overweight Luggage" and McManus would have to pay an extra 29.99$ to get rid of the hulking power forward. It remains to be seen if the Wild captain will pass around the hat at this evenings game signaling the end for his late round forward pick. All signs indicate that Balazinski will be back at his Babcia's shed in Nothern Poland by the end of the week stuffing his face with her delicious kielbasa sausages and pierogi's filled with white cheese and potatoes.
