Announced today by WWHL Vice President Nancy Wilson are the 2007 / 2008 Western Women’s Hockey League Awards.
Top Goalie honors for 2007 / 2008 goes to the BC Breakers Desirae Clark. She started 13 games, was 3rd in the league for minutes played with 747 total minutes played. She finished the season with a 0.892 GAA. She saw 509 total shots and stopped 454 of them.
Other league awards were handed out as follows:
Top forward honors go to Meagan Walton of the Calgary Oval X-treme, Top Defensemen goes to Colleen Sostorics of the Calgary Oval X-treme, and finally the league MVP honors go to Hayley Wickenheiser of the Calgary Oval X-treme.
