We have changed the registration process this year, you first will have to join the waitlist of the division you want to play in, This will give us an idea how many kids want to register for each division. Once we have the minimum amount of players needed for that division you will receive an email with a link to then register in full. Please pass this info onto anyone you know who is interested in signing up. For those that have registered already before this change you don't need to do anything.

The 2020 Ball hockey registration is now open, Help spread the word and lets make this upcoming season even better than last years. If you have any questions please contact us at HCMBHL@yahoo.cam website: haldimandballhockey.ca
Ball Hockey rules are the same as Ice Hockey with one significant exception. The rule that regulates offside in the offensive zone is called the “Floating Blue Line”. Once a player has moved the ball over the blue line into the attacking zone, the attacking zone increases to include the entire opponent’s half of the rink.
Floating Blue Line Rule
Equipment Required By HCMBHL:
All registrants are responsible for providing their own CSA approved hockey helmet with full facial protection, hockey gloves, hockey stick, soccer shin pads, athletic cup, soft elbow pads or approved ball hockey shin/knee pads , and soccer socks are all mandatory and must be worn before stepping onto the arena floor. We do provide goalie equipment for those players who wish to try goaltending.
We are committed to provide our members with the best and safest environment as possible. As a result Fighting and Major Penalties are will not be tolerated and result in substantial suspensions or ejection from the league. Also any player the receives 4 penalties in one game will be given a game misconduct as set out by Ball Hockey Canada and the OBHF.
Also NEW this year is every line will get 1:30 everytime on the floor, once time is up BUZZER will sound and next line will come out and time starts with a faceoff, this way we keep floor time equal for all kids. Also NEW this year NO PLAYER CAN SCORE MORE THAN 2 GOALS PER GAME. this why we try and keep the scores close and get everyone else involved in helping their team win.
Our league rules are always being updated so please contact us to get the most recent version. The HCMBHL rules are based on the Ontario Ball Hockey Federation Rules and Regulations Guide, please refer to it for a complete list.
