GM/Head Coach MARTIN, JOE
Joe Martin became the 25th Head Coach in Centennials history on May 29, 2015. Martin began his BCHL coaching career with Merritt when he was hired as an assistant coach on May 27, 2011.
Under Martin and former Head Coach Luke Pierce, the Cents made the playoffs for four straight seasons and set a franchise record for goals-against in 2012-13.
He began his junior hockey coaching career in 2007-08 as GM and Head Coach of the Creston Valley Thundercats of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League. Martin got his overall coaching start behind the bench of the Whitehorse Midget A team in 2003.
