Support Specialist

Recreation Sports Management, Inc., the creators of esportsdesk.com, is growing and currently has an opening in our Vancouver office for a technically inclined and personable support specialist with a background in sports.  We work with sports related clients around the world and have been doing so for almost 20 years.  Our sports-specific SaaS platform is fuelling our growth and continues to attract the attention of National Sports Governing bodies, independent sports camps providers, leagues, teams and tournaments alike.

The succesful candidate is a quick and dedicated learner who will be trained to become an expert on our system.  The specialist will be able to quickly assess and understand a client’s unique needs and provide an appropriate solution while building and maintaining a relationship with the client.  He or she will make process improvement recommendations and suggest new features as appropriate.  The opportunity to help sports businesses in every level, sport type, city and country is something that excites you along with the potential to get involved with events.  Some travel may be required.

Your job will entail:

  • Reading and responding to customer submitted support emails
  • Live telephone support, live chat support and GoToMeeting sessions
  • Creating and curating custom support related documentation, step-by-step procedures, and knowledge base articles

Applicants should be technically inclined with the following required skills and experience:

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Fluent writing and speaking in English
  • Ability to quickly pick-up and understand processes and new concepts
  • Strong knowledge of PC based computers as well as Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience working with graphic editing software such as Fireworks or Photoshop
  • Motivated to excel when working independently or in a team

Nice to have skills and experience:

  • Understanding of web site development and database concepts
  • Corporate Social Media expertise
  • Basic programming experience (i.e. HTML, JavaScript, etc.)
  • Sales
  • Newsletter, press release creation
  • Fluency in written and spoken French or Spanish

This is a full-time position in our downtown Vancouver office, with room to grow.
