CITY STARS EMBARKS ON IT'S 16TH SEASON |

Welcome Back to City Stars in it's 16th year of bringing teams
together to have fun and competition.
1st up we have our reigning champions, Brightpoint seeking
to win a back to back championship.
The Arts Division is up for grabs as the champions, The NY
Historic Society will not be in the mix. Who will be the next
champions?
Let's look forward to a 16th season where we will create new
memories with bloopers, skill and pure love of the sport of
Softball. Play Ball!!!

CITY STARS COED SOFTBALL CHAMPIONS 2017 |
|
IN OUR 14TH SEASON AS A LEAGUE, IT IS WITH PLEASURE
THAT WE ANNOUNCE A TEAM WHO HAS BEEN WITH CITY
STARS, SINCE ITS FIRST SEASON AS THE NEW CHAMPIONS,
MEL'S BASHERS.
AFTER YEARS OF COMING CLOSE, MEL'S BASHERS BEAT A
TOUGH GFI DOWNTOWNERS TEAM IN 3 THRILLING GAMES,
17-15, 4-3, & WINNING THE LAST GAME 14-13 IN THE
BOTTOM OF THE 7TH INNING. WHAT A GREAT FINALS. THE
BASHERS HAVE PLAYED LONG AND HARD FOR 13 SEASONS
AND NOW THEY TASTED THE THRILL AND JOY OF BEING
CHAMPIONS OF THE CITY STARS COED SOFTBALL LEAGUE.
CONGRATULATIONS TO ANDY AND THE BASHERS. |

CITY STARS ARTS PLAYOFFS 2017 |
|
WOW another amazing softball event in the City Stars Arts
Division. Lincoln Center Wins the 2017 Arts Championship.
Lincoln Center's rise to the prize started by upsetting last
year's champions, Intrepid, in a very close game, 12-11.
Then they went on to beat a gutsy Guggenheim team in the
last inning with a score of 10-9. It's on to the championship
game against the NYPL Lions.
Finally and incredibly in the 7th inning of the championship
game while being down 4 runs, they scored 5 runs which
earned them the championship with a score of 9-8, over the
NYPL Lions. Congratulations Lincoln Center, What a Season! |

Deutsche Bank becomes back to back Champions by winning
the
2015 championship, beating the Diamond Dogs in a rematch
of the
2014 championship. In straight games 11-4 & 3-1.

City Stars is beginning it's 3rd Season! Once again the goal is to provide you with a season to remember. You can expect more competition and good times on the field. City Stars now consists of 40 teams. Wow! we are growing.
Your cooperation with the scheduled games is key to an enjoyable season for all. The schedule includes the name and telephone number of your opponent's contact person. It is VITALl that YOU communicate with one another so that the games will run smoothly.
WE WANT TO MINIMIZE FORFEITS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE!
I want thank the regular teams for coming back and also for spreading a good word about the league. I welcome the newcomers and look forward to being of service to you.
